Mississippi release information follows the authority that held the person. A county sheriff handles local booking and release records. MDOC handles state sentence calculations and nonexempt state records. The Parole Board answers case-specific hearing questions, while an assigned county office addresses supervision. Courts, VINELink, BOP, and ICE each maintain separate systems.
- For a county-jail release, use the County Directory to reach the sheriff or detention source that held the person.
